WallSpace for Artists & Audiences allows artists to exhibit and curate their own work, and audiences to experience art in a community-supported venue, WallSpace-LNK Fine Art Gallery & Salon, 1624 S 17, Lincoln, NE.

This high-quality professional exhibition space serves serious artists and gives people of all ages and inclinations an opportunity to see work and interact with artists they otherwise would not encounter.

An artist-focused and artist-curated exhibition is a rare occasion for artists and audiences to communicate on a deeper level. We anticipate that each exhibition will have a significant impact on each artist's creative practice. Likewise, audiences will enjoy & grow through their exposure to artists, their processes, and various artistic media.

For Audiences…

WallSpace-LNK Fine Art Gallery & Salon is an inviting environment for audiences to meet artists, hear from them directly about their work, and engage with each other.  They are welcome to view, contemplate, and discuss work, and to peruse an extensive art book library.

Audiences rarely have the chance to see a complete, focused exhibition of a given artist's work. Each of these exhibitions is an "artist's statement," enabling audiences to explore each artist's intention, process, and products.

The WallSpace community is people in the Lincoln area who are curious. We are located in Lincoln’s Near South Neighborhood. Highly diverse neighborhood associations intersect near the gallery and we target Near South, Irvingdale, Everett, South Salt Creek, and Country Club groups. Residents range from well-established families of means to recent immigrant families struggling to find their way in a new world. New Americans and viewers with deep Nebraska roots find it easy to mingle in the space.

Without the opportunity to see and meet these artists at WallSpace our audiences would have very little chance to experience the work or to spend time with these artists in the near or far term. None would be showing at other venues locally, unless as part of a group exhibition.

Programs & Events:

Artists host opening receptions on First Fridays, usually 5-8 pm. Typical open hours are Friday-Sunday afternoons, 12-5pm. Artists may also offer by-appointment viewing.

Each artist may choose to present additional public programs aligned with their shows. Clubs, senior living residents, art classes and family groups have enjoyed artist-given tours at WallSpace. An Oscher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Art Appreciation discussion group has met one Sunday each month for more than two years.
